Starting on 17 August 2020, the government of Nepal has begun to resume flights from low-risk countries. The practical decision still must be taken by the government. The decision to lift the restriction on flights which existed for four months due to the COVID-19 pandemic is welcome for airlines and tourism companies. The only chance to meet a smaller group of visitors from October depends on the government regulation of the pandemic and the absence of quarantine to open the country for foreign airlines in August.
