Overview of Chulu West Peak Climbing – 20 Days
To begin our Chulu West Peak, we will drive to Jagat from Kathmandu via Besisahar town. Also, we will pass over Khudi, Bhulbhule, and Ngadi. While walking to Dharapani, we will see the mesmerizing view of lofty Annapurna Himalayan ranges.
On the way, we will move by a dense wooded area of pine, fir, oak trees. We will also view the Marsyangdi pouring from the left side where thrilling peak sight of Annapurna II also comes into sight when walking to Chame.
We will walk passing by Pisang, Manang, and Ledar. And, taking a steep way up, for around 4 hours from Ledar, we will walk to Chulu West Base Camp which is at 4,820m.
Then, we will walk to the High Camp lying at the elevation of more or less 5100m. Then, we will experience the most significant days as we will reach the summit of the Chulu West peak set at the height of 6419m where the views of towering high peaks will captivate us.
We will walk on an uneven hill and soar to Thorung Phedi. We will also traverse Thorung-La Pass lying at 5416m. Moreover, we will walk to Muktinath meaning God of Salvation is a holy place for Buddhists as well as where the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu Hindus.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
After we land at Kathmandu International Airport, our airport representative from Trekking Guide Team Adventure will welcome you. He will help you to transfer to the hotel. At the hotel, you can just relax. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: In Kathmandu, preparation day for expedition. (B)
On this day, we will prepare for trekking carrying the essentials like crampons, webbing, gears, harness, cord, ice axe, sleeping bag, trekking poles, headwear, footwear, and numerous other pieces of stuff.
If you do not have these equipments, you need to go shopping. Our staff will help you get the necessary permits and papers for the expedition. In the meeting, you will have a pre-trek discussion with staffs or guides. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive to Jagat 1,290m via Besisahar 800m-8 hrs. (B/L/D)
We will drive to Jagat from Kathmandu via Besisahar town. En-route, you will get to take pleasure from the eye-catching views of Himalayans. We will also pass by Dumre from to get to Besisahar.
Besisahar, headquarter of Lamjung area is located on the far west section from Kathmandu valley. After that, we will head off from Besisahar and follow the dirty road that goes downward to Bhalam River.
We will pass over Khudi, Bhulbhule, and Ngadi. In addition, we will also walk by quite a few settlements of Syange and then leave the Marsyangdi River, we will climb to a small community of Jagat. Overnight in Jagat.
Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920m-5 hrs. (B/L/D)
From Jagat, we will walk for roughly 5 hours to reach Dharapani. The path moves down to the Marsyangdi River and after that moves through a thick forest. The trail offers the mesmerizing view of lofty Annapurna Himalayan ranges.
We will also walk on a smooth path to Sattale. We will also walk passing by Tal Karte, Tal Besi, and to get to Dharapani. Overnight with Dharapani.
Day 05: Trek to Chame 2,670m-5 hrs. (B/L/D)
We will hike up to Chame taking approximately 5 hours. On the way we will move by a dense wooded area of pine, fir, oak trees. In addition, the south face of Mt Manaslu set at the height of 8,163m will appeal to us.
We will also observe the Marsyangdi flowing to the left side where attention-grabbing peak sight of Annapurna II also comes into sight. Then after, we will we get to the district headquarter of Manang district- Chame on the shore of river. Overnight at teahouse.
Day 06: Trek to Pisang 3,300m-6 hrs. (B/L/D)
We will move further on from Chame to get to Pisang lying at the altitude of 3300m. We will start strolling in the morning to view the sunrise view over the stunning peaks including the Lamjung Himal (6893m).
As we arrive at Brathangs village, a stunning waterfall can be seen. We will pass through Marsyangdi River two times and trek from beside the rhododendron, pine and oak forests Pisang.
Pisang is situated in the middle of the Pisang peak which is one of the popular peaks to climb. Plus, the panorama of the north-east peak of Pisang and Annapurna II will appeal us. We will notice long Mani wall, before arriving at Pisang. Overnight at a tea house.
Day 07: Trek to Manang Village 3,450m–5 hrs. (B/L/D)
On this day, we will walk further on from Pisang to Ghyaru Village. While traveling, we will get to observe amazing views of Annapurna II and III.
Then, we will stroll to Manang Village taking around 6 hours. We can then get the opportunity to see the breathtaking trail filled with grasslands. The trail also bestows a number of unbelievable vistas of the Annapurna Himalayan range.
Day 08: In Manang rest day. (B/L/D)
This day, we will stay in Manang to get properly acclimatized with the high altitude. According to the health experts, altitude sickness can be avoided through the acclimatization process.
In Manang village, we will explore around along with simply resting. The beautiful Gangapurna Lake in Manang will completely mesmerize you.
You may also optionally visit Mountaineering school which presents basic mountaineering training. Overnight at tea house
Day 09: Trek to Leder 4,200m-4 hrs. (B/L/D)
Today we will walk through the rural community of Ghunsang and carry on winding up to Yak Kharka, leaving Tilicho path behind. We will walk along the riverbank of Gundon Khola.
Then traverse the river and trek for few hours to get to a small settlement of Yak Kharka. It is a beautiful point for views of Annapurna III and Chulu Peak.
We carry on following the path that leads to the suspension bridge, traversing a wooden bridge, the trail leads to a tiny settlement of Ledar for an overnight stop.
Day 10: Trek to Chulu West Base Camp 4,820m-4 hrs. (B/L/D)
Taking a steep way up, on this day we will walk for around 4 hours to reach Chulu west base camp which is at 4,820 m. Chulu West Base Camp will allure with its spectacular panorama of gigantic Annapurna range. The rest of the time we can rest enjoying beautiful settings. Overnight at base camp.
Day 11: Trek to High Camp 5,520m–4 hrs. (B/L/D)
We today keep on walking up to reach to the High Camp lying at the elevation of more or less 5100m. On the way we may have to pass some technically demanding sections.
Here, we can amuse ourselves with the attention-grabbing peak views. We will install our high camp as we walked for around 4 hours. Overnight at camp
Day 12: Summit to Chulu West Peak (6,419m) and back to base camp-8 hrs. (B/L/D)
This is one of the most significant days as we will reach the summit of the Chulu West peak set at the height of 6419m. We will walk on an icy path to reach the peak using ropes, ice-axe, and crampon.
As we reach the peak, the views from the summit offer a landscape of rolling towering hills and of high peaks will captivate us. Then, we will return to base camp via the same path for an overnight stop.
Day 13: Trek to Thorung Phedi and to High Camp 4,600m-4 hrs. (B/L/D)
Today we will gradually move to periphery and then stroll down to the Marsyangdi River. After that, we will pass all the way through a wooden bridge. Also, we have a thinly track that move crossways to a rough hill.
After that, we ascend to Thorung Phedi taking around 3 hours. And then trek further to Thorung High Camp. Overnight at tea house.
Day 14: Cross Thorung-La 5,416m and to Muktinath 3,800m-7 hrs. (B/L/D)
We will on this day move down to traverse the Marsyangdi river via a wooden bridge. Besides, we will walk on the right coast of the river. After that, we will have a trail that becomes slimmer and moves side to side with an uneven walk to Thorung La Pass lying at 5416m.
Also, we will trek to Muktinath meaning God of Salvation taking around 5 hours. Muktinath is a sacred place for Buddhists as well as where the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu Hindus and see water flowing from 108 fixed stone taps. Overnight at a tea house.
Day 15: Trek down to Kagbeni 2,858m–4 hours. (B/L/D)
We will have a trouble-free walk for around 4 hours on this day. We will move downward passing Jharkot village. In Jharkot, we will get to see the lifestyle and tradition of Thakali inhabitants who are diverse to Tibetans.
Walking ahead for a number of hours, we will reach Kagbeni set in the valley of the Kali Gandaki River. Overnight at Kagbeni.
Day 16: Trek to Jomsom 2,715m-4 hrs. (B/L/D)
Departing from Kagbeni, we will stroll to Jomsom taking about 4 hours. We will be delighted with the amazing views of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri on the voyage. Also, we will carry on passing apple orchards before getting to Marpha.
We will also pass Ekle Bhatti lying at 2,740m. Then as the last point for this day, we will march to Jomsom, a big drawn out set to both coast of the Kali Gandaki River.
Jomsom is the headquarter of Mustang district where you can find various apple products. Overnight at a tea house.
Day 17: Morning flight to Pokhara 820m-22 minutes. (B)
We will fly to Pokhara from Jomsom taking around 22 minutes. As we get to Pokhara, we can visit popular tourist areas like Gupteshore cave, Davi’s fall, famous Fewa Lake where you can enjoy boating etc.
In addition, the wonderful views of massive Himalayas Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri and other nearby peaks will captivate you. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 18: A scenic drive to Kathmandu 1,350m-5 hrs. (B)
After spending an unforgettable time in Pokhara. We will drive to Kathmandu enjoying the extremely large views of the Himalayas on top of the green hills, which takes about 6 hours by a tourist bus. Today you can just rest in the hotel or go shopping. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 19: Rest day in Kathmandu. (B)
You will rest in Kathmandu on this day. We may also go around for sightseeing in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 20: Final departure for homeward bound.
This is your last day in Nepal. You will leave Nepal with wonderful memories and splendid time spent in the Annapurna Himalayan region. Our staff will transfer you to the airport for your departure.
