Day1: Arrival Kathmandu
Arrival at Kathmandu airport. Our airport representative will pick you up and drop to the hotel.
Day2: Kathmandu tour
After breakfast, visit historic and cultural sites like Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath.
Day 3: Kathmandu - Syabrubeshi by local bus (around 7-8 hrs)
Go to Syabrubeshi. On the way, you will pass through terraced rice fields rolling down, soaring summits of the mighty Langtang, Ganesh, Shringi, Manaslu, and Annapurna. Overnight at Tea house run by Nepali families.
Day 4: Syabrubeshi - Parvati Kunda
Start the day by climbing Langtang valley to a sunny pass at Bahun Danda. Then pass around ridges to the Tamang village of Gatlang. Then hike up to a scenic grassy camp just above beautiful Parvati Kunda.
Day 5: Parvati Kunda - Somdang
Start the day with a steady climb to Khurpudanda pass. After enjoying lunch and inspiring high mountain views at Khurpundanda pass, we descend to the Somdang River, crossing from Rasuwa into Dhading district of Nepal.
Day 6: Layover in Somdang, hike to zinc mine/Paldor peak viewpoint
Take a layover day to relax in Somdang. Or we also have the option of climbing to an abandoned zinc mine where a collection of old buildings and mining gear are found. The large shaft that had been drilled over 1 km horizontally into the mountain can also be found. From here, the trek continues up toward Paldor Peak base camp.
Day 7: Somdang - Marmelung Karka
FromSomdang, we go through a trail that climbs to Pang Sang pass. After lunch, we descend afterward to our camp at Marmelung Karak.
Day 8: Marmelung Karka - Tatopani Hot spring
Descend to Tipling, a large village home to two Buddhist Gompas. Later we reach Claish a village mostly populated by Gurung and Kami people. We then descend to cross the Ankhu Khola river before climbing about 40 mins to camp at the wonderful hot spring Tatopani.
Day 9: Tatopani hot spring – Lapchet
We return to Ankhu Kola River before traversing up and around wooded ridges to the hillside village of Tir Gaon. The trip from here to Lapchet begins.
Day 10: Lapchet - Kachet
Start the day climbing to Barmachet Danda pass which offers impressive views of Ganesh IV, III, VII & V, Paldor peak and now the distant Pang Snag pass. After lunch, we descend to our camp in remote, friendly and quiet Kachet village.
Day 11: Kachet - Rigaon
Head down the trail this morning to cross the Hohang Khola River. We then climb and contour around ridges and hills sculpted with millet terraces. We stop for lunch in kichet village. We continue the trail and you can camp at the ridge of Rigaon village.
Day 12: Rigaon - Pokhara Danda
Follow the trip with no trail signage to Pokhara Danda and camp there
Day 13: Pokhara Danda – PhulKharka village.
The last day of Ganesh Himal Trek (Ruby Valley) offers us several choices. Those who are ready to relax and kick back can enjoy a downhill homestretch to the scenic beauty of Phulkharka village. Overnight in a local homestay, Phulkharka village.
Day 14: Drive back to Kathmandu by local bus
Today we drive back to Kathmandu to the hotel to rest, clean up or treat ourselves to a spa or massage- a wonderful way to unwind!
Day 15: Rest day in Kathmandu
Day 16: Departure from Tribhuwan International Airport.
