Itinerary Change:
Without any prior notice, TGTA can make changes to any itinerary. Certain price adjustments could be made due to unavoidable circumstances like weather threats, landslides and other natural calamities, political disturbances, road obstructions and accidents, sudden sickness and customer’s health conditions etc. Clients can also modify the program in their interest if it looks possible, but the extra cost incurred has to be borne by the clients themselves. Trekking Guide Team Adventure can cancel the trip due to unfavorable climate, natural calamities, political conflicts, extreme weather, etc. If so, TGTA would happily refer you to a similar alternate trip. You can also postpone it but the postponed trip must be made within a year of the postponed date.
Price Alterations:
Sudden changes in several external aspects such as exchange rate, domestic flight fare hikes, changes in government policies, etc., could bring about urgent modifications in price. Thus, under such conditions, TGTA preserves the right to readjust its pricing rate mentioned in any of its marketing materials and website.
Passport and Visas Requirements:
All clients must own a legal passport with a validity of at least 6 months from the return date. Nepalese visa is issued by the Nepalese Consulate in your country or upon arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Nepalese visa with 15 and 30 days validity costs USD 30 and USD 50 respectively.
Travel and Medical Insurance:
TGTA does not offer its customers any kind of travel insurance. Customers should purchase by themselves. Insurance must cover medical, accidental, natural disasters, emergency evacuation, and trip cancellation expenses along with baggage and gears lost, theft or damage.
Flight Delay and Cancellation:
Plane and helicopter flight cancellations and delays are very common due to extreme weather and technical difficulties in remote areas. This often happens particularly with Lukla flight in Everest region, Jomsom flight in Annapurna region, Dolpa, Simikot, and Jumla region flights.
Most often, mountain flights are delayed without prior notice to the passengers. These flights are scheduled for 6:30 AM normally with airport time of 6:00 AM, but frequently take off at 7:00 AM. If a passenger fails to reach airport on time, a passenger of second mountain flight is allowed to take the first flight.
If you are taking such flights, you are suggested to carry extra budget for food and accommodations. This will help you during the flight delays if needed. Please be informed that TGTA will not afford the additional expenses from lost connections.
Also, if you are making trips to such remote areas, especially during odd season, you’re highly recommended to reserve extra days to adjust with such delays and annoying consequences. In case of delay in flight, both prior to trek departure or at the end of the trek, you need to arrange your lodging and food by yourself.
