On the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, you will get to explore two popular and beautiful villages- Ghorepani and Ghandruk. The trek begins with a short drive from Pokhara to Birethanti (1,025 m/3,363 ft). From here, you will walk via small settlements and lush forests to Ulleri (1,960 m/6,430 m). The trail includes climbing on many staircases.

The next day, continue trekking to Ghorepani village (2,860 m/9,385 ft) via lush rhododendron, pine, oak, and bamboo forests. On the way, enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara in a comfortable tourist bus. Enjoy stunning landscapes and mountain views on the way. Pokhara is the second biggest city in Nepal. After a big breakfast, leave your hotel and drive to Nayapul. It is a short and scenic drive. From Nayapul, you will begin trekking lush foothills. The trail ascends via the forest to Birethanti. From here, continue ascending through settlements like Sudame and Hille. You will then walk to Tikhedhunga. Then, climb around 3,000 stone stairs to Ulleri.

Today, you will hike to Poon Hill viewpoint early in the morning. It is a lovely hike via the rhododendron forest. The sunrise and mountain view from the top of Poon Hill is phenomenal. On the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, you will explore the lush Himalayan foothills. The trek route goes through dense forests. The terrain is uneven and constantly ascents and descents. You may come across some steep sections, otherwise there are no tricky paths.

Every day, 5 hours of walking is required, so trekkers have to understand it is an adventure hike. Because the physical pressure is not that immense on the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, kids and senior citizens can also do this trek. The highest altitude on the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is the Poon Hill viewpoint. It is located at 3,210 meters (10,525 ft) from sea level. As per Himalayan standards, this is a low altitude gain, so the risk of altitude sickness is quite low.
