Detailed Itinerary of Ghorepani Poon Hill trek 5 days
Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu - Pokhara - Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1540 m)

Our journey starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara for the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek 5 days. The bus journey pass through the hilly green landscapes, pristine rivers, and the unique highway settlements. We arrive at Pokhara after a ride of almost 6-7 hours.
We continue our bus ride from Pokhara until we arrive at Nayapul. The 2 hours scenic drive from Pokhara passes through the beautiful hilly landscapes of the region. Our trek journey starts from Nayapul. We complete the formalities by showing our trek permits and TIMS card at Birethanti and continue our trek.
The trail then passes through the Magar settlements of Sudame, and Hile village to arrive at Tikhedhunga. It takes around 4-5 hours to cover the total distance of 9.5 km. We stay overnight at a village in Tikhedhunga.
Day 02: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2860 m)

After an early breakfast, we start our trek to Ghorepani (2860 m) from Tikhedhunga. The trail passes through the villages of Ulleri, Banthanti, and Nangethanti before arriving at Ghorepani.
We climb the famous Ulleri stone stairs during this trek. It takes around 6-7 hours to complete this 12 km trek. The trails also pass through the scenic waterfalls and lush alpine forests on our journey to Ghorepani. We stay overnight at a lodge or teahouse in Ghorepani.
Day 03: Trek from Ghorepani - Poon Hill (3210m) - Tadapani (2,630m)

The trek starts early in the morning with a 45 minutes hike to Poon Hill viewpoint (3210 m) to observe the breathtaking sunrise view. The view of golden rays of sun falling upon the silver mountains is enchanting. You can capture the awe-inspiring sunrise view in your cameras before descending to Ghorepani.
We have a delicious breakfast at Ghorepani and then resume our trek to Tadapani (2,630m). The trek is downhill and hence, we can cover the distance quickly without any hassle. The trail from Ghorepani to Tadapani passes through cascading waterfalls and beautiful orange orchards.
We taste some of the local oranges from the orchards and continue our trek. After 4 hours, we arrive at our destination of Tadapani. We will stay overnight at a teahouse in Tadapani.
Day 04: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk

Trek duration: 3 hours
After an early breakfast, we start our trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (2,010m), which is a Gurung village located northwest of Pokhara. We descend downhill, observing the scenic views of Annapurna I and Machhapuchhre.
We also pass through the mustard fields and orange orchards tasting the local oranges. The 6 km trek takes around 3 hours to complete. You can observe the breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains during the Tadapani-Ghandruk trek. After arriving at Ghandruk, we explore around the village surroundings.
The village of Ghandruk is a well preserved village where you can observe the culture, lifestyle, and heritage of the local community. Moreover, the beautiful sight of Gurung men and women working with traditional instruments like Dhiki, Jato, and Theki will amaze you.

We wake up to a beautiful view of the snow-capped mountains, including Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre Himal. After having breakfast, we start our trek passing through the stony trail to arrive at Syauli Bazar.
The trek passes through the lovely village settlements to arrive at Nayapul. The 8.6 km takes around 4 - 5 hours to complete. We then take a scenic 2-hour bus ride back to Pokhara. We stroll around the vibrant Lakeside area in the evening and celebrate the completion of the beautiful trek. We stay overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.
