Best Time to Visit Kakani

The time that best suits a visit to Kakani viewpoint is from September to December and from February to April. During these seasons, the weather is generally stable, with clear skies and excellent visibility of the surrounding mountains, including Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Manaslu.

7:00 AM: Start your drive from Kathmandu (around 22km)

Early in the morning you will depart from the city with your guide. You will drive along Araniko Highway and see villages/settlements. The drive now takes around 45 minutes to an hour thanks to improved road conditions

8:00: Arrive at Kakani
Take a short break, enjoy tea or coffee, and prepare for a walk towards the viewpoint.

8:30 - 10:00 AM: Explore Kakani Viewpoint
Enjoy panoramic views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Manaslu, take photographs, and walk along the forest trails.

10:00–12:00 PM: Optional Short Hike and Adventure Activities
Stroll through pine forests or visit nearby attractions such as the Thai Memorial Park. For adventurous visitors, activities like rock climbing and canyoning are available; please inform us in advance if you wish to include these. During strawberry season, you can also visit local strawberry farms for a fresh and scenic experience.
