Hi Kabi

Greetings from South Africa

We were picked up from the Kathmandu Airport in Nepal by Trekking Guide Team Adventure Pvt. Ltd. representatives. As novice trekkers we had no idea about what we were getting into walking the Annapurna Circuit Trek below the Himalayas. Excitement levels were high. We were taken to a hotel and briefed as to the days forward. We were given a tour of the city and later treated to Nepali Thali (a traditional Nepali dinner, dancing, the works). The next day we caught a flight to Pokhara to begin our 6 day “Goeropani Poon Hill Trek”. Our trek would take place in the lower regions of the Annapurna Mountain range which is part of the Himalayas (home to the highest mountains on Earth). We were taken by taxi to Nayapul which is at 1070m altitude, to start our trek in the mountains. It can only be described as breathtaking. The height and magnitude of the mountains are immense and beautiful, beyond what you can imagine. Trekking Guide Team Adventure Pvt. Ltd. provided us with the best trekking guide (Santosh) and porter (Krishna). Nothing was too much trouble for them, their mantra being: “If you’re happy, we’re happy” because that was the underlying essence of what they wanted for you. They ran with cups of tea for us, opened water bottles when our hands were tired, educated us on the region and the various fauna and flora of the range and introduced us to the Nepali culture at every turn. It was the little touches which set this trekking company apart from others. Kabi, the owner of Trekking Guide Team Adventure Pvt. Ltd., can be very proud to have employees like these; they represented his company very well. Kabi and his team are friendly, supportive, helpful, informative, “all-round-can’t-do-enough-for-you” people and we are happy to call them our friends.

There were so many highlights of our trek, one of them being the early morning hike up Poon Hill (3210m altitude) to see the sunrise, illuminating the Himalayan peaks. I have never seen anything as majestic in all my life. Again Santosh running with mugs of tea to warm us up.

Another highlight was the natural hot springs at Jhinu Danda which soothed muscles and souls for our onward journey.

Our last trekking day ended in Phedi where we were transported back to Pokhara, to catch the flight back to Kathmandu for our return flight to South Africa. People of Nepal are beautiful and seeing all the gorgeous children, my cup runneth over when I think of them.

This trip was life-changing. We saw, we felt, we laughed, we cried, we learnt, we tasted, we smelt all the flavours of beautiful Nepal. Thank you Nepal and thank you Trekking Guide Team Adventure Pvt. Ltd. for making this possible. We will definitely see you again.

Trekking Guide Team Adventure Pvt. Ltd. is a professional company that provides an excellent service to fit any budget and need. I have no hesitation recommending this company for travel arrangements and I plan to use them in the future.

Dhanyawad (thank you) kindly, gently, wholeheartedly… The Nepali way!
