Overview of Manaslu Trekking 16 Days:
Manaslu, the 8th highest peak of Nepal, borders the Ganesh Himal range on the east and Annapurna on the west. In comparison to the popular trekking destination like Annapurna, Everest, and Langtang, the trekking trails of Manaslu is less crowded and allows visitors to explore the remote region of the Himalayas. Elevating at an altitude of 5160m, the Larkya La pass is the major highlight of the trek as it is the best viewpoint to enjoy the sights of the glacier and Himalayan ranges. The Himalayan ranges like Himchuli, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang guru, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Ngadi Chuli are clearly visible from the pass.
The Manaslu trekking-15 days starts from the capital city and winds off to Dhading, Arughat. On the way to Arughat, you can enjoy the sights of hills, rivers, terraced fields, highway shops, and many more. From Arughat, you will catch a local jeep and spend your night in Soti Khola. From the starting point of the trek Soti Khola, you will walk past numerous small villages like Machha Khola, Khorla besi, Jagat, Deng, Doban, Samgaun, Samdo, and Dharmasala before finally summiting the pass. Since you will be passing through the Manaslu Conservation area throughout the trip, you will be able to witness different wildlife and flora. Species like Himalayan Tahr, Grey Musk Deer, Blue sheep dominates the conservation area together with other endangered species like snow leopards and red pandas. Apart from the wildlife, walking through the rhododendron and Sal forest while playing hide and seek with the Himalayas will give you the utmost joy.
During your stay in the region, you will also get a chance to explore the unique Tibetan-influenced Lifestyle, culture, and tradition.

The offer price for Manaslu Trek price is USD 1500 for International visitors wereas for the Nepalese citizens the price are cheaper. However we aslo offer customizable Manaslu Trek package incase you want to adjust the trek itinerary.
Day 01: Kathmandu arrival, pick up and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival in TIA, you will be greeted and welcomed by one of the representatives of Trekking Guide Team Adventure. You will then be transferred to Nivas Boutique Home in Kathmandu where you will spend the night. In the evening, you can stroll down the streets of Thamel and spend your time.
Day 02: Trek Preparation Day, Overnight in Kathmandu. (B)
With an early morning breakfast, you will start to prepare for the trek. If you don't have any trekking equipment required for the trek then today is the day to go and find one in the Renting stores of Thamel. You can either buy or rent the trekking equipment by paying certain charges to the shopkeeper.
In your free time, you can visit the nearby Kathmandu Durbar square and the old marketplace, Ason.
Day 03: Early in the morning drive to Soti Khola 8 hrs by local bus (700m). (B/L/D)
The journey begins today as you head towards Arughat. The drive from Kathmandu to Arughat passes through the Prithvi Highway where you will witness beautiful hills, a gushing river, terraced fields, highway shops, and many more. After a 6-7 hours drive from Kathmandu, you will finally arrive at Arughat. From Arughat you will catch a local Jeep to Soti Khola.
Day 04: Hiking up to Machhakhola 7hrs (869m). Overnight at tea house. (B/L/D)
After enjoying a fully appetizing breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Machha Khola. Leaving the Soti Khola behind, you will walk through the dense and refreshing Sal forest. As you head on the journey, you will cross suspension bridges, walk along the ridges and finally arrive at the village of Lapubesi. Descending from the village and walking in the sandy river bed, you will again ascend to the mountain ridge of Almara before finally arriving at Machha Khola overnight.
Day 05: Hiking up to Jagat 7hrs (1340m). Overnight at tea house. (B/L/D)
Today's trail follows the river until you cross Thado Khola. From Thado Khola, you will head upstream to the small village of Khorla Besi. From Khorla besi, you can enjoy the stunning sights of Manaslu and Kutang Himal. On the way beyond Khorla besi, you will also spot a Hot Spring bath, from where you will cross Budi Gandaki River and climb over the staircase to arrive at Doban.
On walking further from Doban, you will cross over the Yaru Khola and follow the uphill and downhill trail until you reach Thado Bharyang. After crossing few more bridges, and climbing over the ridge, you will arrive at the police check-post of Jagat where your trekking permit will be checked.
Day 06: Hiking up to Deng 5hrs (1860m). Overnight at tea house. (B/L/D)
Today's trek is all about ascending and descending trails and breathtaking sights of Sringi Himal. Initially in the journey, you will descend along with the stone steps to the river and then climb to Saguleri. Passing through the village settlements of Philim, Lokwa, Ekle-Bhatti, and Sirdibas, you finally arrive at Deng village enjoying the sights of the Himalayas.
Day 07: Hike from Deng to Namrung 2630 m. (B/L/D)
Today will be a short Hike day from Deng to Namrung which usually takes 5-6 Hrs. You will have a good amount of rest day on this day to recharge your body for tomorrows journey.
Day 08: Hiking up to Samagaun village 7hrs (3520m). Overnight at the teahouse. (B/L/D)
Today's trek is somehow longer than the previous day's. Leaving behind the village Deng, you will move forward to Samagaun. Walking through cultivated lands, settlement areas like Ghap, Namrung, Lho, Mani stones, rhododendron forests, and pasture lands, you will finally arrive at Samagaun. During the trek, the alluring sights of Himal Chuli, Nagdi Chuli, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu will keep on fascinating you.
Don’t forget to gaze at the magnificent mountains as soon as you arrive at the village.
Day 09: Rest day in Samagaun explore around there. Overnight at tea house. (B/L/D)
Today you can either sleep off or take a short hike to Pungyen Gompa or Manaslu Base camp. Pungyen Gompa is an old gompa of the region offering enchanting sights of the glacier. if you don’t want to go for the hike, you can also spend your time with the local men and women dressed in their cultural attire. Explore the lifestyle and enjoy the sights while you are in the village.
Day 10: Hiking up to Samdo village 4hrs (3875m). Overnight at tea house. (B/L/D)
Heading forward in the journey, you will walk past the yak pasture, mani walls while enjoying the sights of Manaslu. Samdo is a picturesque village situated very close to the Tibetan border. Since the trek to Samso is relatively shorter, you can walk around the village and explore the place.
Day 11: Hiking up to Dharamsala 4hrs (4460m). Overnight at tea house. (B/L/D)
As the altitude increases significantly, the sights of the Himalayas become gigantic and vivid. Walking across the rugged terrains of the region, you will arrive at Dharmasala.
Day 12: Early in the morning Hiking up to Larkya-La pass (5160m) 7hrs trek to Bimthang. Overnight at tea house. (B/L/D)
The most awaited day is finally here. today you will be at the highest point of the trek that is Larkya La Pass. The hike to Larkya La must be completed before the winds start to blow so make sure that you wake up early. That way, you will also witness the sunrise from the point and can have some quality time amid the soaring Himalayas.
From the pass, you can enjoy the sights of Himlung Himal, Annapurna range, and many more. After spending some time in the pass, you will trek downhill to Bimtang for overnight.
Day 13: Trek to Tilije, 6hrs (2300m). Overnight at tea house. (B/L/D)
Descending to Dudh Khola and Soti Khola, you will walk through the lush forests of the region, and head towards the village of Gho. With continuous walks through the cultivated lands, you will finally arrive at Tilije for overnight.
Day 14: Trek to Jagat to 6hrs (1300m). Overnight at tea house. (B/L/D)
Walk through the rich landscape of the region and say goodbye to the Himalayas as you move further to Jagat for overnight.
Day 15: Early in the morning drive to Kathmandu via Beshisahar by local bus 8hrs. (B/L)
The trekking journey ends today as you catch a bus to Kathmandu. Enjoy the beautiful sights of the hills, rivers, and terraced fields. You will be transferred to your hotel room as soon as you arrive in Kathmandu.
Day 16: Departure day. Morning Breakfast and Transfer to Kathmandu Airport. (B)

The region experiences four seasons like any other trekking destination in Nepal. During the spring season (March to May), the temperature varies between 6 to 12 degrees Celcius. During summer (June to August), the temperature is around 25 degrees Celcius. During autumn (September to November), the temperature is around 15 degrees Celcius, and during winter (December to February), the temperature reaches -8 degrees Celcius.
The 15 Days Manaslu trek costs you around $1100-$1600.
Yes, you can get Local alcohol during this trek. But we do not recommend our trekkers to drink it since it may cause abdominal discomfort or other problems leading to minor to major complications during the trip.
Almost all trekking trails in Nepal offer the staple Dal Bhat. Other than this, you can also find a variety of continental dishes. Since the Manaslu region is highly influenced by Tibetan culture, you can enjoy scrumptious Dumplings, veg/non-veg soups, yak meat, yak butter, yak meal, stews, and curries of different seasonal vegetables. You can also enjoy the famous butter tea that is considered to keep you safe from extreme cold and altitude sickness.
Since the Manaslu region was declared a restricted area, trekking in the region requires a special permit. The trekkers trekking in the region must be a group of two or more accompanied by a local guide and must have the following permits:
✔ Special Restricted Area Permit for Manaslu:
Trekkers will need this permit from Jagat to Sama gaun and will cost between $75-and $100 depending upon the season you are visiting for the first seven days. An additional $ 10 per person will be added from the 8th day onwards.
✔ Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP Permit):
This permit is required from Philim and costs USD 30 per person.
✔ Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP Permit):
This permit is required from Dharapani till you exit ACAP in Besisahar and costs USD 30 Per Person.
