Day 1: Drive to Kande from Pokhara and trek to Deurali

The trip starts from Pokhara, and drives to Kande on the Pokhara Baglung highway for about 40 minutes. You will then climb to a peak of 2,060 m for about one and a half hours. You will walk through a scenic place with panoramic views of the Annapurna range and the valley of Pokhara. You will walk further through the rhododendron forest to the mountain pass known as Deurali. As you pass the wedge between Mardi Himal and Annapurna South you will reach Deurali. Overnight in Deurali.

Day 2: Trek to Low Camp

On this day you will walk along the ridge. You will slowly climb up the trails through rhododendron trees. After walking for a few hours you will reach Low Camp. You can see some tea houses in the Low camp. As you reach there the view of Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhre seems much closer. You will walk in the Himalayan with the clear blue sky. Note: In agreement with the guide, you can walk 1 more hour to Badal Danda (Cloud Hill) above the treeline. Badal Danda has only one cabin.

Day 3: Short walk to High Camp

Higher up the mountain, the trail climbs to Mardi Himal and Mt Fishtail. We move away from the tree line from Badal Danda and arrive in the alpine forest. Annapurna South, Huinchuli and Fishtail snow-capped peaks appear on either side in a distance above the deep valley. The high camp is basically a small pasture with three lodges. You're above the clouds here and near to the snow-capped peaks.

Day 4: Hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp and trek to Siding

With steep climbs and longer walks, the day trip is more challenging than other days. With steep rocky and rough steps at some points, the trail becomes more difficult to climb. The first steep climb to the top of the ridge, marked as MBC (Mardi Himal Base Camp), will take about 2 hours. The view along the hill is incredible. You can explore the Mardi Himal and Mt Fishtail which appear just above us and the views of Annapurna I&III and Gangapurna that appear at a distance as well.

You will now descend back to Siding. You will walk for 4 hours on a slippery and steep trail. The tough trail will take you into a beautiful and traditional village of Siding.

Overnight at Lodge or a homestay, you will witness the wonderful cultural experiences of the village.

Day 5: Drive back to Pokhara

This is the last day of our trek. We can find a jeep ride back to Pokhara from more. It is around an hour’s drive from there to Pokhara.
