Muktinath Pilgrim Tour is one of the religious treks of the country. Muktinath is the famous pilgrimage site for Buddhists and Hindus. To Hindus, Muktinath is a sacred place of salvation.

They believe that bathing in the waters here guarantees salvation after death. The God of Hindu, Brahma, is said to have lit the eternal flames that burn at the holy temple Muktinath.

For Muktinath Pilgrim Tour we will start by drive from Pokhara to Jomsom with close–up view of the Himalaya Annapurna & Dhaulagiri. And the start point of trekking from Jomsom to Muktinath is Jomsom.

You will visit Hindu & Buddhist shrines to explore their culture, rituals and local test of the environment. To get back to the capital Kathmandu we will trek down to the Natural hot spring (tato pani). You will see the best sunrise view from Ghorepani poon hill and then trek down to Nayapul. From Nayapool we will have a drive to reach the beautiful city Pokhara.

Highlights of Muktinath Pilgrim Tour

The main highlight of this Muktinath Pilgrim Tour is hiking through the gorge carved by the beautiful Kali Gandaki River, which originates in the Tibetan plateau. It eventually flows into the Ganges in India, the temple of Muktinath, although dedicated to Vishnu, is sacred to both Hindu and Buddhist and many ascetic sadhus gather here.

Muktinath is the perfect place to find fossilized ammonites, known locally as Shaligram, which are found all along the upper reaches of Kali Gandaki.

For Buddhists, Muktinath is a place where the great sage guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) came to meditate. People living in this are mostly Gurungs and Magars in the lower regions of the Kali Gandaki, Thakalis around Jomsom and people from Tibetan roots, the Lopa, around Muktinath and up to Mustang.

These people have their own unique customs and attire. So both Hindus and Buddhists can do Muktinath Pilgrim Tour.

You can travel from Pokhara to Jomsom by land transport as well which may fluctuate in your total travel days.

Our company representatives from the trekking guide team adventure will pick you up and drop you at your hotel in Kathmandu. After the arrival, you will be briefed about your trip. Overnight at Kathmandu.

You will have breakfast being in the early morning. This morning you will be driving to Pokhara (200km), departure at 7:00 AM, approximately six hours away by private vehicle. In route, you could find Trisuli River. It is very famous for the Himalayan Wild River rafting. Overnight at Pokhara.

You have breakfast being in the early morning. This morning you will be fly to Jomsom approx. 25 minutes flights. Hotel Check-In, then walk around 15-20 minutes to reach Jeep Station and drive to Muktinath by Local Sharing Jeep (1.3 hrs.) along the Kaligandaki river.

To reach Muktinath Temple, you need to walk ascending around 30 mins. Worship to Muktinath Temple and then drive back to Jomsom by jeep and Overnight Stay at Jomsom.

This morning you will fly back to Pokhara, Pick up from Airport and transfer to Hotel. After Breakfast proceeds to Pokhara city sightseeing places. Pokhara is famous for well-known valleys in the southern Himalayas hides and three arresting lakes – Phewa, Begnas and Rupa.

At Pokhara, we can visit Gupteshore cave, Davi’s fall, well-known Fewa Lake where you can enjoy boating etc. In evening leisure, overnight stay at Hotel.

You have breakfast being of the early morning. Then drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by private vehicle, which takes about six hours. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, en-route, you could enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields, and people being engaged in their daily life activities.

From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to the capital city. Overnight Stay at Kathmandu.

After breakfast, we start an interesting tour around Kathmandu city. You will have Kathmandu sightseeing with an English speaking guide, try to give them a full taste of our culture, heritage, and local people.

On our sightseeing tour we go to Pashupatinath Temple, Budhanilkantha, Swayambhunath (Monkey temple) and Kathmandu Durbar square.

After breakfast, you will have some free time until the time to leave the international airport for your final departure.
